Accountants: Think about offering a money-back guarantee


Consider offering a money-back guarantee on your services. This could lead to higher profits.

Suppose we were forming a new partnership. We ask Attorney #1 what it costs for an agreement. He says he charges $200 per hour and he estimates five hours. We ask Attorney #2; he charges $225 per hour for five hours and he includes a guarantee that if we aren’t satisfied with his work, we owe him nothing.

I think we will take the second attorney for two reasons. First off, he demonstrates confidence in his work by offering the guarantee. Second, if we truly do not like his work, it costs us nothing.

Just imagine, two attorneys doing the same work but one netting about $40,000 more per year.

If you choose to offer a guarantee, remember to convey the offer loud and clear on your website, social media posts, advertising, and in your meetings with clients and prospects.
